Service Description

This class starts with a short review of the fundamentals of shotgun shooting and safety. We progress into operating the shotgun efficiently to manage recoil. We’ll cover several different sighting systems so all students will know what works best for them. Different types of shotguns will be demonstrated. The different ammo types and the benefits and liabilities of each one will be covered. The shooting drills will start with basic ready positions and move quickly into many different techniques to deploy the shotgun. Shooting from different positions and from cover will be used. Shooting from improvised positions and shooting on the move are also covered. Once we master the shooting on the move we add a third dimension of shooting around objects and people. We finish the day with a small team drill to put everything learned during the day into practice. Equipment needed - Shotgun with a sling, 10 rds of slug 10 rds if “00”buck and 300 rds of bird shot - An ammo carrier for shotgun ammo, Any carrier will work, even a go bag or a fanny pack - Pistol holster and 3 mags 100 rds of pistol ammo. - Bring a lunch and water a hat with a brim, eye and ear protection. -DIRECTION INFO- If you have issues finding the property: Use Gold Ridge Baptist Church as a land mark.
